Threatening

An accused person who intentionally conveys a threat to another person to cause death or harm to any person may be found guilty of uttering threat. An accused person may also be guilty of this criminal offence if he or she is making a threat to destroy property or injure animals belonging to any person.

The maximum penalty for this offence is five years imprisonment where threat is made in relation to a person and where the Crown proceeded by indictment.
